Thinking about thinking is interesting to me.
Because it can literally change your life.
For instance…
I’ve spent some time lately thinking about what a bad hand life has dealt me.
My dog got cancer.
Our AC flooded the house and caused mold damage.
My dad was murdered by my brother.
Then I became executor of his estate and learned my uncle and some of my dad’s old attorneys were suing it.
Sheesh.
That’s a lot.
And none of those things become less awful just because I decide to think differently about them.
But they’re also not the only things that happened.
I went to SeaWorld with my family.
We took a trip to the beach.
Ella rode on a pirate ship.
I have friends I’ve known for more than 20 years who might as well be family.
I have a wife and daughter I absolutely adore.
And every morning I get to walk into a room full of people I genuinely enjoy and call it work.
Same life.
Different things to think about.
I guess that’s why thinking about thinking is so interesting to me.
Because I can’t choose everything that happens.
But I do get some say in which parts I spend my time thinking about.
And I try to bring as much of that passion and perspective as I can into the studio with me every morning.
I love being your coach.
And if someone handed me a time machine and gave me the opportunity to do life differently…
I don’t think I’d take it.
Because maybe I change one of the bad things.
But maybe I don’t end up here with you.
You Can’t Control Everything That Happens Next.
But You Can Control This.
You can keep thinking about getting stronger.
You can keep telling yourself you’ll start when life settles down, your schedule clears up, or your body magically starts feeling younger.
Or you can make one decision today that gives the future version of you a better chance.
Get stronger. Move better. Stay capable. And keep doing the things that make your life worth living.
That’s exactly why I created my personal training programs for adults over 50 in Austin.
No bootcamps. No burpees. No trying to prove how tough you are. Just smart, personalized coaching designed to help you get stronger without getting hurt.
Not Ready to Hire a Coach?
Fair enough.
Don’t spend a dollar yet. Spend a few minutes getting smarter about what actually works after 50.
