I didn’t know what a burrito was until I was 19 years old.
That might sound insane now, but growing up in South Louisiana, Tex-Mex just wasn’t a thing. I’d been to an El Chico once or twice, sure—but I was a kid. And like most kids, I ordered chicken tenders.
So, sophomore year of college, when a Chipotle opened near campus and my buddies were freaking out over their first burrito free promo… I wasn’t exactly rushing to get in line.
But they talked me into it.
And man—I’m glad they did.
That one free burrito turned into one of my favorite foods on the planet. Not just because it’s delicious (it is), but because it’s quick, satisfying, and—even with a little planning—can actually be pretty healthy.
Try Something New (It Might Surprise You)
Trying something new—especially something you don’t understand yet—is uncomfortable.
But it’s also how most of us discover the things we love.
And that’s fitness.
If you’ve never trained in a private studio like mine, it’s easy to assume it’s “just another gym” or “just another trainer.” But once you experience it—real coaching, real personalization, no crowds, no chaos—it clicks.
And even if you’ve worked with a trainer before, maybe it was like me ordering chicken tenders at El Chico.
Right restaurant. Wrong order.
If you’ve been thinking about starting an exercise program—or giving it one more shot—I’d love for you to try this version.
