Happy Saturday!
It’s a good day around here.
We’ve officially been out of our house for a month now.
A broken AC unit caused some water damage, and what I initially thought would be a relatively simple repair has turned into quite the adventure.
First, we spent a week in a little hotel room.
Which meant boarding Buddy.
Then we moved into what I’ve affectionately been calling the “frat house.”
We spent two weeks there.
And I’m pretty sure whoever furnished the place bought everything off Craigslist.
Not that there’s anything wrong with Craigslist.
But it would’ve been nice if the appliances worked.
Anyway, we’ve finally moved into another rental house.
And this one?
It’s NICE.
So nice, in fact, that I’ve been joking with Laura about calling the owner and making an offer to buy it.
Which got me thinking about something.
When I got into personal training, I never did it because I thought it was going to make me rich.
I did it because I wanted to be happy going to work every day.
I figured if I could find something I genuinely enjoyed, work hard at becoming the best I could possibly be at it, and keep improving…
The money part would eventually work itself out.
That was my entire business plan.
Well, maybe not the entire plan.
But you get the idea.
And here we are, all these years later.
Sitting in this beautiful house that we’re only supposed to be borrowing for a little while.
Joking about whether we should just buy the thing.
Laura did point out one problem, though.
It doesn’t have my dream swimming pool.
To which I replied…
“We can build it.”
You’ve Worked Hard to Build a Good Life. Now Make Sure Your Body Can Enjoy It.
Here’s something I’ve learned after years of running Stowe Personal Training in Austin, Texas.
You can work hard, make good decisions, build a successful career, and create a life you’re proud of.
But if your knees hurt every time you climb the stairs, your back complains when you pick something up, or you’re constantly worried about getting injured…
How much of that life are you really enjoying?
That’s why I specialize in helping adults over 50 get stronger without getting hurt.
Not because you need another hobby.
Not because you need to spend your mornings doing burpees with people half your age.
But because strength gives you options.
The option to travel. To carry your grandkids. To work in the yard. To keep doing the things you love without constantly wondering whether your body will cooperate.
If You’re Over 50 in Austin, Here’s Where I’d Start.
My 50 STRONG program is personalized, semi-private strength training designed specifically for adults over 50.
We start where your body is today, build a plan around your goals and limitations, and progress at a pace you’ve earned.
No bootcamps. No unnecessary punishment. No guessing which exercises are right for you.
Just intelligent strength training designed to help you get stronger and stay that way.
Private studio in Central Austin near The Triangle. Personalized coaching. No crowded gym atmosphere.

Fair enough. You shouldn’t spend money on a program until you’re convinced it’s the right fit.
But you can start making better decisions about your strength and health today.

Build a body that lets you enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to create.
Train smart. Train consistently. Train persistently. Can’t lose.
