What’s my training system?

I’ve got a new client getting ready to start and they asked me to describe my training system.

Excellent question, by the way.

My answer?

Client-centered.

You see, I’m not a CrossFit guy.

I’m not a bodybuilding guy.

I’m not even a physical therapy guy.

I’m a guy who knows a TON of different systems…

And then applies the one I think best fits the person standing in front of me.

Because the system isn’t the point.

The client is.

The Question Isn’t, “What’s the Best Training System?”

It’s a seductive question.

CrossFit? Bodybuilding? Machines? Free weights? Corrective exercise?

People love finding THE answer.

There’s just one problem.

You’re not a system.

You’re a person with your own history, your own goals, your own injuries, your own strengths and your own starting point.

And that’s why at Stowe Personal Training, I don’t start by asking how I can fit you into my favorite workout.

I figure out which training approach best fits you.

Good. Don’t hire a trainer because one blog post told you to. Keep reading. See how I think about training. Then decide whether the approach makes sense to you.

The system isn’t the point.
The client is.
