For Austin Adults 50+ Who Are Tired of Feeling Broken
Back stiff again?
Hips locked up by the time you finish your coffee?
Knees cracking every time you stand?
You keep telling yourself it’s just “getting older.”
But you’re not even old…
You’ve tried stretching. Foam rolling. Maybe even physical therapy.
But nothing sticks.
And deep down… it’s frustrating. It’s exhausting.
And you’re wondering if this is just how it’s going to be from now on.
Let me tell you something:
It doesn’t have to be like this.
You’re not falling apart.
You’re just out of alignment.
And the real problem probably isn’t where you think it is.
“I Did PT for Months—But the Pain Was Still There”
I’ve worked with so many clients who walked into my gym discouraged.
They’d done the work. Seen the therapists. Followed the routines.
But they were still in pain.
Not because they didn’t try.
But because everyone they saw kept treating the spot that hurt—
Not the reason it hurt.
Once we started looking at the body as one system—and focused on how the pelvis was driving everything from the ground up—they felt a shift almost instantly.

Your Pelvis Isn’t Just a Joint. It’s Your Center.
When your pelvis is off, nothing else works right.
Your spine adjusts. Your shoulders carry extra tension.
Your knees rotate to make up for the gap.
Even your ankles and feet feel the stress.
And the worst part?
You don’t feel it all at once.
You feel it a little bit at a time… until one day, something breaks.
The Warm-Up You Need
(Because What You’re Doing Isn’t Working)
Here’s what I see all the time:
- People foam roll like crazy and still feel tight
- They stretch the same muscles day after day and still feel stuck
- They “warm up” but walk into every workout stiff, stiff, stiff
Look—I’m not here to knock what you’ve tried.
I’m just here to give you something that actually works.
Because if the foundation isn’t stable, nothing else matters.
Do this before your next workout—and feel the shift:
- Dead Bugs – Wake up your core and control from the inside
- Short Plank – Train your spine to resist movement (aka stability)
- Glute Bridge – Get your glutes online without “feeling it in your hamstrings”
- Marching Glute Bridge – Reveal one-sided weaknesses you didn’t know were there
- Side Plank – Light up your obliques so your back doesn’t take the load
- Prayer Stretch – Reset your posture and breathing—fast
This isn’t just a warm-up.
It’s your system reboot.
What You Might Feel (That You Didn’t Expect)
- A weird lightness in your hips—like someone “unlocked” a hidden setting
- Your back muscles firing without you even thinking about it
- More control under tension—like your body’s suddenly working with you
- Your knees stopping their usual whining (mid-workout!)
Most people say it feels like discovering muscles they forgot they had.
Some describe it as “the strongest I’ve felt without even lifting yet.”
What Happens If You Don’t?
You already know.
You’ll keep feeling stiff.
You’ll keep guessing.
You’ll keep wondering why this stuff works for other people but not for you.
Until something gives.
Until you tweak something that takes weeks to heal.
Or until you start telling yourself it’s just “age”… and slowly give up on the things you love.
I get it. You’ve probably heard this kind of thing before.
There are a lot of smart trainers and PTs out there who are figuring this out—and that’s a good thing.
The science is finally catching up to what people like me have been practicing for years.
The difference?
I’m right here in Central Austin.
I do all the coaching myself. And I’ve built a reputation for getting results fast—not from guesswork, but from using the right methods with the right people at the right time.
“But I Don’t Want to Do All That…”
Totally fair.
You’ve already got a routine. You don’t want to overhaul your life.
But let me ask you something:
How’s what you’re doing right now working out for you?
Because this warm-up takes less than 10 minutes.
You can do it in your living room. No equipment.
And it can replace the routine that hasn’t been getting you the results you want.
You’re here because you’re looking for a better way.
This is it.
“But What If It’s Not My Pelvis?”
That’s a valid question.
This blog isn’t a 70,000-word textbook.
And no, this warm-up isn’t a magic pill for every person on the planet.
But I can tell you this:
If you come visit my studio here in Austin—or even just hop on a quick consult call—I can usually spot the root cause in under 15 minutes.
Just like a good doctor doesn’t need hours to know what’s going on, I’ve worked with enough clients to assess what matters quickly—and guide you toward what works.
Need More Proof?
This isn’t just “Nate said so.”
Here’s a simple breakdown of why this works—based on real movement science:
- The Kinetic Chain Explained – NASM
- How Pelvic Alignment Affects Movement – Precision Movement
- Core Stability & Low Back Pain – Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy
Not Ready to Commit? That’s Cool.
Look, I get that too.
Not everyone is looking for a trainer right now.
And even if you were, I can only take on a handful of new clients at a time—I do all the coaching myself.
But that’s why I create blogs like this, film YouTube videos, write my weekly emails, and stay active on social media.
It’s not just about marketing—it’s about helping people first.
Because I know not everyone will walk into my gym today… but if I can shift how you think about movement or help you feel better in your body right now? That’s still a win.

Final Word
You’re not broken.
You’re not behind.
And this isn’t your fault.
You’ve just been working around the problem—because no one showed you where to look.
Now you know.
Start with your pelvis.
Let the ripple take care of the rest.
