Much like the pursuit of happiness, one can only pursue fitness.
As soon as you quit what makes you happy, you lose your happiness. You can’t just get “happy”.
Put it in your back pocket, quit all the things that got you there, and remain happy.
Once you “get fit”, you can’t quit the things that got you there or you will lose your fitness.
You must work towards it every day all day.
Now, this doesn’t mean being obsessive and weighing every grape that goes into your mouth. It means taking a small, actionable daily step relevant to your goal.
AKA, 1% better today than I was yesterday.
You do this and I promise you will not only become and stay fit but most likely you will be pretty happy too.
