[How Cholesterol Works and How You Can Lower Yours]
When it comes to cholesterol I always think of a hole being dug on the beach.
When sand is placed in this hole; that is “bad” cholesterol.
It is filling up the hole.
When sand is removed from the hole; that is “good” cholesterol.
To be healthy you want the sand to be removed from the hole at a faster rate than it is being added.
If sand is added to the hole at a faster rate than it can be removed then this is where different heart related issues come from.
One method of getting the sand out of the hole faster than it can be added is improving your “good” cholesterol.
There are a few different ways to do this.
The easiest is to eat more “healthy” fats such as avocados, nuts, or cooking with different oils at the appropriate temperature.
The harder way is engage in vigorous exercise.
By vigorous; I mean the kind of exercise that gets you to where you can barely talk…..
Adding “good” cholesterol is for sure a great idea in the grand scheme of things; though I prefer a simpler route.
Instead of adding more to do we can simply do less.
Eat less refined sugar and carbohydrates….
Simply doing less of this is a sure fire and simple way to lower your “bad” cholesterol.
