If you know me then you know I love a good fable.
The following is called the Donkey’s Burden.
Imagine a donkey standing with a bale of hay on his left and a tub of water on his right.
He looks left.
Then left again.
Clearly perplexed at what to do until ultimately he dies of starvation and dehydration.
Instead of contemplating and trying to do everything at once we should choose one goal and go after it.
There will be plenty of time after reaching this first goal to shift gears and go after the next goal.
Basically the opposite of Crossfit’s philosophy ;/)
