Do You Brush Your Teeth?

Do you brush your teeth?

If so, then you understand what it takes to get in shape.

Simple, daily actions repeated for years.

That’s it.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Not working out for a decade and then starting an exercise program where you count calories and workout seven days a week is essentially the same as not brushing your teeth for ten years then start to brush and floss seven times a day for a week.

Your dentist will certainly be able to tell that you have been slacking on your dental hygiene making your appointment less than stellar.

So, what does brushing your teeth exactly mean when talking about fitness?

Well it will depend upon where you are and what your goals are, but most will do just fine with these guidelines:

1. Do strength training two to three times per week for fifty-one to fifty-two weeks per year.

2. Walk every day for 5,000 to 10,000 steps. If you have joint issues then you can bike, row, elliptical, whatever, just be sure to move.

3. Avoid alcohol, sweets and processed food 80% of the time.

Following the above guidelines will probably help 90%+ of the population have an excellent ‘check-up’ if applied consistently for long enough.
