5 tips to help avoid weekend over eating.
1) Aim for “good enough” instead of perfect.
If we aim for perfect as soon as we aren’t we go into “eff it” mode and just start binging.
2) Let go of food rules.
Food rules dictate what and when you can eat.
Much like tip #1 as soon as you break a rule you go into “eff it” mode and start binging.
3) Give up on “cheat days”.
Cheat days play to scarcity.
When we think we can only have certain foods on certain days of the week we over do it because we know we have wait along time before we can have cake.
Stick to the 80/20 rule where you can have whatever you want 20% of the time. It doesn’t matter if its a Saturday or a Wednesday.
4) Own your choices.
Food doesn’t have a moral compass.
It isn’t good or bad.
You are simply making a choice to get closer to your goals or further.
Make you decision and own it.
5) Stop rationalizing.
Much like point #4 we need to own our choices.
We are either choosing to get closer to our goals or further from them.
Dig a little deeper with you “why” when you choose to go further from your goals and own that decision.
