Saturday Memo 8/15/26

Happy Saturday!

Busy week back at the studio coaching clients…

And man, has it felt good to get back into my normal routine.

I came down with COVID and then we had our family summer vacation planned for the very next week.

Port A.

Beach.

Family.

Thankfully I recovered in time to enjoy the trip, and somehow nobody else in my family got sick.

But after basically two weeks away from my normal life, this week has been another reminder of something we all know but seem to forget.

Sometimes you don’t appreciate something until you don’t have it anymore.

Feeling good.

Feeling strong.

Going to work.

Seeing people you enjoy.

Even just waking up and going through your normal routine.

None of that feels particularly special…

Until you can’t do it.

So yeah…

I’m happy to feel strong again.

Happy to be back coaching.

And happy to be back in my happy place.

Have a great weekend.

You Can Keep Reading About Getting Stronger… Or You Can Start.

Knowing what to do isn’t usually the problem.

The hard part is knowing what you should do… how hard you should push… and how to make progress without turning a workout into another injury you have to recover from.

That’s exactly what I help adults over 50 do.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start following a plan built around your body, your goals, and your starting point, take a look at my personal training program for adults over 50 in Austin.

That’s fine.

You don’t need to buy anything from me to start making smarter decisions about your fitness. Here are three articles I’d read next:

“Nate was careful to design a program that would strengthen my shoulder without causing further injury… I cannot recommend him highly enough!”

Don’t worry—he saves the third-person talk for bios, not your training sessions. Sixteen years in, he’s still awkward when writing about himself.
